Place in the World

“For this week’s photo challenge, explore what it means to find your place in the world. Where’s your safe space? Where do you go when you need to feel inspired or cheered up? Do you prefer to feel cozy and comforted in a smaller town or do you thrive on the buzz of a big city? If landscapes aren’t your thing, you can even explore portraits by playing with scale or fashion.

Let loose and give us a glimpse of who you are in the grand scheme of things.”

I belong here ….East End, Cayman Islands

In the shade under the coconut tree – blue skies above all kinds of blue water. It is my meditative place. East End, Cayman Islands.

I belong here as well … in the infinity pool above the commerce of the city below Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain, Trinidad

  1. Trinidad is my home country and somehow with all the nights I’ve spent at the Hyatt whenever I go back home, I’ve never yet been in their infinity pool! Not much of a pool person, and that’s even after 6 years of swimming classes as a child (lol). Take me to a gorgeous beach any day though, some of my faves are Grenada and Jamaica. My mom has been to the Cayman Islands for work events and absolutely adores it there; Lucky you to live in such a gorgeous place!

    1. Thanks for your comment and thanks for taking the time to view the photos. I did that so spontaneously. Yes I much prefer a beach. My favorite beaches are in Anguilla and Cayman Islands.

  2. The warm beaches of the Caribbean are fairly new to me. I was amazed the first time I swam in a warm ocean. I am more used to the colder waters of the Pacific. But these days, I feel most at home in the desert, where I live outside of Las Vegas.
